Using Wood as his main material and color in the first role, Adam provides a new dimension of visual revolution in design and artistic creation. In this new exhibition, Adam presents a series of design tables, chairs and lamps, in the creation of which, he combines different material like wood, metal, plastic, neon and glass. Old and new forms, make visible influences and remote similarities with several tendencies, from 'Bauhaus' to modern and contemporary design trends.
The main link between his design articrafts, is his personal idiom, which makes objects seem often extravagant and provocative, standing out from all the rest. The artist says about his new line of work : " Wood here, is the main material and a means for me to unwind most – or all – aspects of a time recording with unpredictable consequences as to the construction of a different space/world. With the series entitled: «WOOD ME», I attempt to configure time differently as well.
Besides the newly formed wooden elements, pieces from my personal excavations at old workshops of the city also play a leading role. Authentic, handcrafted wooden elements, dating several decades, change color, role and function, contributing greatly to the recovery of my personal space and time or even to the creation of my own ideal and non-identifiable universe.
