Benakis Konstantinos

Drantakis Panagiotis

Skouloudi Christina

Panagiotis Drantakis, well known for the use of geometry and motive simplicity, creates
3-dimensional sculptural compositions out of paper. The artist creates two ceiling and one floor light of large dimensions and simple lines. His round coffee table and chair are made out of wood, plexiglasss and billiard balls.
Konstadinos Benakis, exhibits a pool chair out of aluminum and honeycombed polycarbonate surface; extremely durable and weather resistant. Also, he presents a home-office with oak surface, curves, tripod wooden base and a colored edge.
Paola Lakah, loves manufactures made out of inox and plexiglass. Here, she has created a wooden chair-table and a series of impressive light sculptures, in minimalist design shapes and modern combinations.
Franka Papandreou, designed a simplistic modern library out of a metal frame, of which plexiglass selves suspend with the aid of elastic bands; also a series of pillows and puffs of varied cloths and colors, 'unconventional' and fetishistic with clear animal and plant connotations.
Giannis Sinis, who mainly works with wood and color, handcrafted a wooden screen with hanged clothes, a wooden port-manteau tree and a series of household objects (candle sticks, fruit-bowls, etc.).
Christina Skouloudi, exhibits a handmade 'break-down' series of furniture (armchair, chair, and footstool) from alder wood, with leather and cloth cover of double appearance. Also, she exhibits an iconostasis - a wall mounted sculptural manufacture - in the shape of a cross, out of black iron, steel sheet and acrylic leaf.
Tolis Tatolas, prepared a screen and an umbrella holder from black varnished wood, with small steel gaps. These steel gaps become strikingly impressive when adding multicolored, wooden, geometric panels.
Concluding, Chronis Tsakirakakis, exhibits wooden, varnished and inox manufactures. He shows a lounge-chair made out of multiple sticks, footstools and a one-piece Swedish block wood, without any burl, with sculptural orifices, candle-sticks and his simple yet original coat hanger shaped as a cactus tree or tree brunch, most surely will create a rather enterprising feeling for contemporary artifacts and their design.

Duration of exhibition: until 8th of April 2009.
