On Tuesday 4th of July '06 in the Art space of "ASTROLAVOS artlife" (Hrodotou 11, Kolonaki, tel: 210 7221200,4, fax: 210 7221304, www.astrolavos.gr, opening hours: Mon.Wed.Sat.: 11-15.00 and Tu.Th.Fr. : 11-20.30) opens double exhibition, with artistic photographs by Anna Skarlatou entitled: "My horses" and manufactures by Artemis Makridou, entitled: "My world of paper".

Anna Skarlatou, started the procedure of photographing horses in the beginning of the 80's, without having ever presented these photos in an artistic exhibition. Her main motive was to record the horses movement. Consequently, the artistic began to experiment with those animals movements. The photographic procedure, most of ten, resulted in conceptual art. The horses movements together with the artists lens Conner sated in a game of artistry. The Horse won the race.Her pictures, which encapsulate a kind of magical realism reveal these this fact evidently. In these pictures is recorded the pride, beauty and kindness of there animals often, there portraits are so human that by looking at them ore gets the sense of the "human look". Aside the photos which imprint the riding of man - horse, with the speed of movement canceling any kind of gravity there are also the photographs which show parts of the horses body, known as "close ups", in which the lens seams to embrace, zoom and recode with extreme sensitivity the horses body. The photos included in this unit "My horses" by Anna Skarlatou, constitute a small photographic anthology through which even the most unsuspecting viewer could be moved approach or even love, this beautiful animal, the Horse.

The photographic shoots have taken place in the Equestrian Club of Helsinki - Finland, in the Club owned by a friend of the artist Thanos in Santorini just outside Kamari, in Marousi Equestrian Club, Kefalari and Faliro.
At the same time, there will be exhibited photographs of mounted statues of Pans, Carrousel horses of Pans and the "King Sun" Versailles.

Also, photographs of theatrical sets by Dimitris Mitaras, presenting horses, will be shown.

Dolls, boats, balls, lights made out of paper and drawn with water colors, hand-made and unique, inspired by moments.
Dolls, voluptuous, are claiming their space cheerful and dandy pose with humor. Erotic without slipping into the anorexic prototype of modeling, willing to silently confess have secrets and names: acrobat, swimmer, fat on scales, desire, sitting and knitting, standing with a purse, froso, elf, woman with a cat, couple dancing the tango.

The boats made out of hard paper, a memory collage. Small merchant ships or large holiday ships with the rocking of the sea journey and their fat blue smoke, with or without passengers behind the portholes of the second and third deck, pawns on a chess-board sea.

The hanging balls, celestial spheres on dizzy flight cute in their round shapes, light due to their construction. They spin in slow circular orbits of good fortune and surprisingly introduce their unexpected personas: the witch with her broom, the fat ballet dancer, elves with tiny feathers, male and female swimmers with dotted or stripy costumes on colored buoys, young princes on their paper planets and fat angel fish.

The lights, from stretched candy paper, spread around the room the daze of our dreams colored with drawings which take us back to past, living lies.
Young ladies with fancy dresses, the young prince standing or laying on his planet or on top of a sea-whale together with the red rose.
