On Thursday, the 19th of January 2006 in the art gallery ASTROLAVOS artlife, (Herodotou 11, Kolonaki, tel: 210 7221200-4, fax: 210 7221304, opening hours: Mon-Wed-Sa: 11-15.00, Tu-Th-Fr: 11-20.30, www.astrolavos.gr), opens an individual exhibition entitled Wandering by Nancy Sousoula.

An array of works will be presented; works mounted on the wall, mixed techniques, installations, artifacts and artistic jewellery, everything in harmony with the strong feeling of "journey" and "traveler". These works are of such proportions that could easily be carried inside any luggage.
For the artist, the notion of journey has been approached through the dreamy atmosphere of fairytales. A "Young Prince" has taken shelter inside the artist's universe. His journey through emotions and senses fills up the artists' psyche with materials such as: p.c. wires, nylon, beads, colored paper, etc. Evidently, the striking power of color most certainly transmits positive energy. The juxtaposition of sensitive motives against harsh materials provokes the look and the attention.

Caring for a flower, meeting a friend, wondering about life; all the above transform these materials into poetic creations. Without any stylistic cliches or limitations Nancy Sousoulas artistic jewellery resembles a kind of painting that can also be worn.
Consequently, along with the painting creation one wears the matching mood, like a smile upon the face.
