On Tuesday the 21st of September in the lower level of the art gallery "ASTROLAVOS dexameni" the opening of a painting exhibition by the artist Tomas Ochoa, entitled "The ruins of the future", will take place.

The artist presents his work for the first time in Athens after his participation in the last Venice Biennale. Ochoa uses the latest techniques in order to reconstruct his works. Photography, video, digital images. He attempts to register the creative process, so that his work and his critical will can be approachable and perceptible.

The conjectural effect, that comes up from this total mixture of techniques, pictures and mediums, is remarkable and accomplishes the artist intentions.
He has registered in several places in Latin America and in Europe. He uses a contextual strategy, such as the collapse of the local factories after the installation of multinationals in the local market.
The exhibition takes part to the International Month of Photography, Athens 2004 that is organized by the Hellenic Center of Photography.
