On Friday 23rd of April at 8 pm opens in the low level
of 'ASTROLAVOS - dexameni' the first personal painting exhibition
of Alexandra Nasioula entitled 'In Times to Come'. The art
historian and curator of the exhibition Lina Tsikouta says
about her work:
"In the big dimensions acrylic wall canvases, the created
space refers to experience, memory and time. The landscape
works of interior states have been created in a diary way
like notes, marks, traces, engraves, a kind of 'commemorative
record'.
At the same time a series of small works in narrative units
made of mixed techniques and collage is being presented.
Those works, sometimes seen as separate units and others
as an ensemble, manage to record sentimental states of life
or develop through intense color contradictions and through
a particular writing, a musicality of hues and tones."
Duration until the 15th of May.
Alexandra Nasioula was born in Almiro Volou. In 1992 she
graduated with distinction from Vacalo School. In 2001 she
graduated with distinction from the School of Fine Art of
Athens, where she studied next to the professor Gianni Psyhopedi.
She has participated in many group exhibitions in Greece
as well as in Paris, Berlin and Viritos.
She has been awarded in 2000 at a young artists competition
for the airport in Spata and in 2001 at the HÓÁÐ competition
for an artistic intervention for the Piraeus train station.
In 2002 she received an honor at an inter-Balkan miniature
exhibition.
