On Tuesday the 14th of October, in the art space of "Astrolavos artlife" (11 Irodotou str, Kolonaki, Athens, tel: +030 210 7294342, 3, fax: +30 210 7293317, opening hours: Tu-Fr: 10.30-14.00 & 18.00-21.00, Sat: 10.30-14.30) opens the new photography exhibition by Tita Bonatsou, entitled "Woma-N-ature". Woman as a thematic axis of the photographers work approached in this unit with emphasis to the Female nature or Nature itself being approached by a single look through the photographic lens; taking part in an open dialogue in the works-photographs of the exhibition.

Three basic units, separate, yet in common thematic base the dipole Woman-Nature, compose this exhibition. In the first unit the artist creates photographic polyptych, which she calls: "In three moments". The artist discusses the immobilization of time, of moment, of movement, through imprinting of momentary time as it reflects of bodies' motion the way the camera records them, in different times, phases. Images by-passed by human eyesight, in antithesis with the lens that records and imprints them frame by frame, thus "flirting" with the light and shadow, the sculpturing of volume, the earthly and airy element, the moulding and freedom. In the second unit the artist collating female figure in the natural or urban settings, within diptych or triptych photographic synthesis. A female portrait juxtaposed with blooming rose using close-up. The red color on the model's half opened lips in a dialogue with earthy, airy, barren or fertile background of nature's elements. The artist enlists light as invisible, discarnate medium, as the only existent substance in time space, as it fondles the softness of a rose, as it passes the lappets of a dress moving by the molecules of wind or shining through a girl's melancholic glance. In the third unit of this work, scenery, as a basic thematic axis, is being approached by the female sensitive look behind the photographic lens. Flowers, waterfalls, sky views, sea views, views of dessert are simply excuses to begin a dialogue between the artist and the color, the light, the shadow, white, black and different tones of grey, as well as the shapes, the geometry, the specific and abstract, the purity or halation of photography. Everything based on necessary so as to attribute the sense, the feeling, the realistic of a word deeply personal, invisible yet so visible, but above all real within the artist's fantasy quests.

The exhibition "Woma-N-ature" by Tita Bonatsou is presented in the line of Athens Photo Festival 2008.
