On Thursday 30th of September in the Art Gallery "ASTROLAVOS artlife" will take place the opening of a group exhibition of artistic fabrications with name...of origin "Oooh...I'm getting married!!!".

It is a high-spirited exhibition by the artists who cooperate with us with the one and only mention to the institution of marriage, which still lasts maintaining its religious character (despite the fashionable habits of the young) and it either satirizes, or suggests artistic solutions for the trite and standards (invitations, wedding sugared almonds, wedding wreaths, candles, gifts, etc.)

There are many funny fabrications that refer to marriage. Some different wedding-gowns will thrill the eccentrics, (Holeva's made of plastic stripes with endless wedding pictures, Lakah's made of taffeta with baby-dolls on). Some different wedding-invitations, that either declare in an artistic way and with honesty the loss of freedom, or the sweet expectation of some utopians for a bed of roses will invite as well as provoke. Some other wedding-wreaths...thorny that cause incurable wounds and some other tender with flowers made of delicate thin metal (in order to sell something too) will give another note to the newly-weds. Some weddings sugared almonds night piss bowl and some silver fabrications for those who prefer conventional solutions will be the "sop" for the guests. Some candles with overhanging dolls, heralds of fertility and some others with silver ornaments/gems for a conventional set of wedding-wreaths and weddings sugared almonds will surround the newly-weds. For those who fed up will scream "Oooh...I'm getting married!!!" and for those who will shout "Oh la la...I'm getting married!!!". For the relatives and friends a walk around the exhibition will certainly be good and will give ideas for the mystery or the martyrdom of marriage.

Duration: until 30th of October.
