On Thursday the 8th
of January from 8 to 10.30 in the evening will take place
the opening of Niki's Papaspirou painting exhibition entitled:
'One Day- Composition in 15 Units'.
Inspired by the gradual change of light through the different
faces of the day: morning- midday- evening and night, the
artist has developed her new work which is composed by 15
works. The exhibited artworks work as a unit but at the same
time constitute autonomous compositions on their own.
The human figure dominates those compositions which are filled
with a very particular atmosphere that generates reflection
and self examination.
The artist uses acrylic colors on canvas in a way which refers
to space, time and personal reflections.
The exhibition is accompanied by smaller works, alternations
of the artist's main works as well as drafts in which becomes
evident the designing potential of Niki Papaspirou. The artist
herself declares that while working on those works she was
playing in her mind with the following question: ' A day,
a week, a month, a moment or many- many years?'
